Just a 6-hour drive from Tokyo, Hakuba is one of Japans’ most popular and famous ski destinations which played host to the Winter Olympics in 1998. With 10 ski resorts in Hakuba Valley, the variety of terrain is suitable for all ski and snowboard abilities. The most popular skiable areas for school groups are Hakuba 47/ Goryu and Happo One as they are easily accessible by foot or minimal transfer time from popular school group accommodation.
