Japan is the perfect international destination for school groups to build their ski and snowboarding skills whilst immersing into traditional culture and practicing the local language. Hakuba

HAKUBA

Just a 6-hour drive from Tokyo, Hakuba is one of Japans’ most popular and famous ski destinations which played host to the Winter Olympics in 1998. With 10 ski resorts in Hakuba Valley, the variety of terrain is suitable for all ski and snowboard abilities. The most popular skiable areas for school groups are Hakuba 47/ Goryu and Happo One as they are easily accessible by foot or minimal transfer time from popular school group accommodation. A variety of accommodation options allow for either western or traditional Japanese bedding and dining, all in close proximity to the slopes. A trip to Hakuba would not be complete without a traditional dinner and drumming show, a stop to visit the iconic snow monkeys, as well as temple visits in Tokyo before heading home.
